The on-air changes continue at Audacy’s “Alt 92.3” WNYL New York following the addition of “Elliot in the Morning”.
Christine Malovetz announced today she will step down from her midday shift following her show this Friday to focus on her off-air role as Regional Vice President of Programming for Audacy Alternative. Malovetz was the first on-air hire at WNYL joining the station in May 2018. She was promoted to Assistant Program Director in April 2019 and to her current RVP role during the company’s restructuring of the format in September 2020.
Prior to joining WNYL, she served as APD/afternoon host at CHR “Now 96.3” KNOU St. Louis. She previously had worked at 95.5 WBRU Providence, “99.9 The Buzz” WBTZ Plattsburgh NY, “Y100” WPLY Philadelphia, and “Q101” WKQX Chicago under the on-air name ‘Electra’.
The midday slot at WNYL has been truncated with Elliot in the Morning running deep into the 10am hour and the station launching a commercial-free block following the show until noon.
