Audacy VP/Alternative Programming and Operations Christine Malovetz will added Program Director duties for Alternative “107.7 The End” KNDD Seattle.
Malovetz will continue to be based in New York and also programs “Alt 98.7” WDZH Detroit, “Alt 102.1” WRXL Richmond, and “Alt 92.3” WINS-HD2 New York. Malovetz joined the company in May 2018 as midday host at then WNYL New York before rising to APD in April 2019 and Regional VP/Programming in September 2020. Prior to joining WNYL, Malovetz served as APD/afternoon host at CHR “Now 96.3” KNOU St. Louis. She previously had worked at Alternatives 95.5 WBRU Providence, “99.9 The Buzz” WBTZ Plattsburgh NY, “Y100” WPLY Philadelphia, and “Q101” WKQX Chicago under the on-air name ‘Electra’.
She takes the programming reins at KNDD from John Allers so that he can focus on his other markets and the relaunch of “Live 105” KITS San Francisco.
Audacy shared this memo from Seattle SVP/Market Manager Jack Hutchison.
Let me start by expressing a very big thank you to John Allers for all of his hard work and focus around 107.7 The End over these past few years. John worked with the entire End team to get us to a much better place. John will continue his role with the company in a number of our markets and as most of you know, see through our huge recommitment to San Francisco with the relaunch of Live 105.
With that, I am very excited to announce our new Program Director for 107.7 The End.
Please join me in welcoming Christine Malovetz (copied here). Christine has a rich history in the format that began at her hometown station, WBRU in Providence. Her journey then included stops in Philadelphia (Y100) and Chicago (Q101) before landing in New York to join Audacy in 2018. Christine added Regional Vice President alternative programming duties in 2020, and currently oversees WDZH/Detroit, WRXL/Richmond and WINS-FM HD2/New York….and now 107.7 The End! In addition, this January she was appointed to Vice President, Alternative Programming and Operations.
Outside of work, Christine enjoys reading, yoga, baking, knitting and cats. She is married with two sons; her favorite family activities include nature walks, beach vacations, and living room dance parties (We need more info on those dance parties, Christine!).
Thank you John and welcome Christine!
