Chris Tarrant returns to Boom Radio to host his first Christmas special on Boxing Day

Former Capital Breakfast host Chris Tarrant is back at Boom Radio to host his first Christmas special for the station.

The Who Wants to be Millionaire presenter will be on-air from 4pm on Boxing Day playing his own choice of music. The station says “Broadcasting from his own home, prepare to hear a range of tracks he particularly enjoys.”

Chris has previously appeared on the station as a guest.

Other festive specials include a musical celebration of Paul O’Grady hosted by his friend, Julian Clary on Christmas Day from midday till 2pm, Angela Rippon from 2pm till 4pm and Simon Bates looking at the song White Christmas which has had over 500 versions sung.

Stephen McGann, Paul Burnett, Tom Browne, Johnnie Walker and Tiggy Walker are also lined-up for one-off shows.

And on Saturday 23rd December, The Boom Christmas Countdown is on between 10am and 2pm. Last year, Greg Lake took the top spot with I Believe in Father Christmas; followed closely by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl – and Slade.
