Townsquare Media Buffalo Director of Content Chris Crowley is joining iHeartMedia in a dual-market role programming four stations in Charlotte and Raleigh NC.
Crowley will program Classic Rock “99.7 The Fox” WRFX Kannapolis and Alternative “106.5 The End” WEND Salisbury NC in the Charlotte market and Classic Rock 100.7 WRDU Wake Forest and Alternative “Alt 95.3” W237BZ Clayton/95.1 W236CA Durham/WDCG-HD2 in the Raleigh market.
Crowley spent the last three years in Buffalo after previously programming stations including Classic Rock 92.3 KGON Portland and 96.5 WCMF Rochester for Audacy as well as stints at 94.5 WARO Fort Myers and 95.3 KUJZ/97.9 KNRQ Eugene OR and time as a consultant for Jacobs Media.
He fills the opening created by the exit of Chuck ‘DZL’ Thompson at the end of June.

Crowley will be responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day programming operations and delivering unique content on 99.7 The Fox and 106.5 The End in Charlotte as well as 100.7 WRDU and ALT 95.3 in Raleigh. Crowley brings over 20 years of programming expertise to his new role, previously serving in various roles such as an operations manager, director of content, program director, and on-air personality. He most recently served as an operations manager for Townsquare Media in Buffalo, New York. Crowley’s previous programming/on-air stops include KGON-FM in Portland, Oregon; WCMF-FM and WROC-AM/FM in Rochester, New York; WARO-FM in Fort Myers, Florida; KNRQ-FM, KEHK-FM, and KUJZ-FM in Eugene, Oregon and a stint at Jacobs Media in Detroit. He began his career at KGOT-FM in Anchorage, Alaska and is a graduate of The University of Alaska Anchorage.
