kmfm Breakfast presenter Garry Wilson is being joined by new co-host Chelsea Little as a permanent replacement for Laura Crockett.
Laura has been on maternity leave and was being covered by Claire Lawson but she won’t be making a return to the show.
Chelsea said: “I love the creativity of the team at kmfm and they bring a new and exciting element to radio that I was eager to be a part of.
“Every show is so different, and I can’t wait to get involved. I’ve always been a morning person, and I love that I can help people start the day on a positive.”
Garry, who has been on the breakfast show for over eight years now added: “It’s been so nice to be part of people’s routines for all this time through so much change.
“I’ve felt really privileged to be on air across Kent every morning, especially through the pandemic. It was unbelievably moving that listeners got in touch to say the breakfast show was helping give them a sense of normality.
“As soon as we met Chelsea it was like, yep, she’s one of us. She’s got so many ideas, showbiz skills, she loves people and she’s really really odd.
If you can describe yourself as a ‘Joy Facilitator’ and keep a straight face then you’re alright by me.”
kmfm Breakfast has new features including the ‘6am Games’, ‘Morning Motivation Mix’, ‘Takeaway Tuesday’, plus ‘Say It’ returns with a £1000 cash prize.
