Channel Islands local DAB digital radio multiplex now full

The recently launched Channel Islands local DAB digital radio multiplex is now full following the launch of GB News Radio on the platform today.

The multiplex, owned by Nation Broadcasting, serves 170,000 residents across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney with 29 radio stations.

Nation’s founder Jason Bryant told RadioToday: “What a great start to 2022! We’re delighted to complete the lineup with this final commercial speech service complementing the amazing existing local, national, speech and music services broadcasting across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney.

“The Channel Islands is now home to the most diverse choice of stations and we look forward to seeing a dramatic growth in DAB listening on the Islands in 2022.

“We are now operating a waiting list for any audio services wishing to add coverage in the Channel Islands and interested parties should get in touch.”

GB News Radio also launched across most of the UK on Tuesday morning via the Digital One multiplex.
