FCC Report 7/11: WNPV To Salvage Part Of Its Array

The FCC has entered into consent decrees with Estuardo Valdemar Rodriguez 910 WSRP Jacksonville NC and Southwest Georgia Project for Community Education, Inc.’s 88.3 WUTU Sasser GA for failure to comply with the Public File Rule as part of the station’s license renewal procedures.

Minority Educational Broadcasting Association’s 101.1 WPJM-LP Palatka FL has been issued a Notice of Apparent Liability and Forfeiture proposing a $3500 fine for failing to file a license renewal application and continuing to operate beyond the expiration of its license. WPJM-LP’s license renewal was due to be filed by October 1, 2019 ahead of its expiration on February 1, 2020, however the station did not file until February 3, 2020. The $3500 proposed fine was cut in half due to the station being an LPFM and is a secondary service.

The FCC has noted that the following stations have failed to file their license renewal applications and if they do not do so by their August 1 expiration the licenses will expire:

Plains Independent School District’s 90.3 KPHS Plains TX
Cobra Broadcasting LLC’s 95.9 KBRA Freer TX
Jesus Pena Acosta’s 98.5 KJJT Los Ybanez TX
Stellar Media’s 1230 KOZA Odessa TX
Chapel of Light’s 1530 KLBW New Boston TX
Bravo Broadcasting Company’s 1550 KIRT Mission TX

Deletions
After receiving an FCC inquiry after failing to submit a timely license renewal, Alamo Navajo School Board’s surrendered the license to 88.1 KYGR Alamo NM stating it did not have the staff to manage KYGR and 107.5 KABR Alamo Community NM.

AM Changes
After its previous owner sold the land that held its studios and three tower array, Four Rivers Community Broadcasting’s 1440 WNPV Lansdale PA has applied […]
