Carolyn Kruse Announces Retirement From WKLB

Carolyn Kruse 102.5 WKLB BostonBoston’s longest running Country radio personality is calling it a career.

Carolyn ‘Kruser’ Kruse will depart “Country 102.5” WKLB Waltham on Thursday, August 28 marking the end of a 31 year career with the station and its predecessors. Kruse joined “Country 96.9” WBCS in 1993 and remained through its merger with 105.7 WKLB in 1996, move to 99.5 in 1997, and move to 102.5 in 2006.

In making the announcement on-air today, she said, “So you know how every song has a beginning, middle and a end? Well today my friends I’m here to tell you that my radio song is about to fade out. But its a beautiful and long song filled with high notes I never believed I could reach. After an incredible 31 years of playing Country music on your radio in Boston, I am hanging up my headphones…”
