Care Radio has launched its Thank You For Caring campaign for listeners.
The station surprised three nominated carers with a bouquet of flowers to say a special thank you for their hard work during the pandemic.
John Dash CEO of Care Radio told RadioToday: “We are really excited about our Thank You For Caring campaign. Myself and Ernie Rowe were privileged to meet these amazing carers.
“We’re now inviting all our listeners to say thank you to a carer in their life this December. Hundreds of those carers will also be receiving a Christmas present from ourselves at Care Radio and our partners, such as Interflora.”
Care Radio aims to deliver surprise, delight and support for the emotional well-being of care workers by sharing problems and concerns; lifting spirits with stories and celebrating achievements; and creating a feeling of not ‘being in it alone’.
Erica Nicholson from Interflora added: “It’s great to be partnering with Care Radio and their Thank You For Caring campaign this December.
“We all know someone who is a carer, and it shows that just by saying thank you we can really make someone feel special and appreciated. We’re delighted to be able to help make that happen.”
Care Radio has recently switched on more DAB transmitters across Surrey and South London.
