Bud Hedinger retired from his morning show at iHeartMedia Conservative Talk “WFLA Orlando” 540 WFLF Pine Hills/93.1 W226B1 Orlando/94.1 W231CT Orlando following 20 years at the station.

The 76 year-old Hedinger originally joined WFLF as afternoon host in 2003 and would move to mornings in 2009. The majority of his career was spent in television starting in the 1960s in Syracuse NY. After 25 years there, he first moved to Orlando in 1986 as anchor at WFTV for three years. Following a stint in Nashville, Hedinger returned to Orlando in 1993 with time as an anchor at WKMG and WKCF prior to his move to radio. He also had a long run as the voice of multiple shows and features at Disney’s theme parks from 1990 to 2005.

Simon Conway, who hosts a regionally syndicated afternoon show on iHeart’s 1040 WHO Des Moines, 600 WMT Cedar Rapids, and 1420 WOC Davenport IA, and has served as a regular fill-in for Hedinger will take over the morning slot alongside incumbent co-host/news anchor Alan Spector. A UK native, Conway began his radio career on WFLF in 2001 for what was supposed to be a brokered real-estate show and then began a run as a fill-in for shows across the country before joining WHO in 2011.
