Cumulus Media has announced the appointment of Bruce Collins as Program Director of News/Talk 820 WBAP Fort Worth and 570 KLIF Dallas.
Collins joins WBAP/KLIF from Alpha Media Portland where he has served as Spoken Word Content Director and Operations Manager for News/Talk 101.1 KXL, Sports “750 The Game” KXTG, and Conservative Talk “Freedom 970” KUFO since June 2016. He spent the majority of his career at iHeartMedia with stints programming for the company in Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Cincinnati, Columbus, Nashville and Oklahoma City.
Collins fills the opening created by Kevin Graham’s move to Cumulus Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM San Francisco last month.
CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it has appointed Bruce Collins as Program Director for Dallas radio stations NewsTalk WBAP 820 AM/99.5 FM-HD2 and News & Information KLIF 570 AM/96.3 FM-HD2. Collins joins CUMULUS MEDIA from Alpha Media in Portland, OR, where he was Spoken Word Content Director and Operations Manager for FM News 101/101.1 KXL; Freedom 970/KUFO-FM; 750/102.9 The Game/KXTG; and the Radio Northwest Network. Prior to that, Collins was Program Director of iHeartMedia’s 1150 WJBO and 1210 The Score/WLRO in Baton Rouge, LA. He has also programmed stations in markets including Atlanta, Cincinnati, Columbus, Nashville and Oklahoma City for iHeartMedia/Clear Channel.
