Broadcast Industry Group To Purchase HPRN’s Arkansas & Mississippi Properties

Arkansas Rocks Jay BrentlingerJay Brentlinger’s Broadcast Industry Group LLC will purchase thirteen stations and two translators in Arkansas and Mississippi from Monte Spearman’s High Plains Radio Network.

Broadcast Industry Group will pay $3 million for 1240 KVRC and 100.9 KDEL-FM Arkadelphia, 690 KAFN/99.3 K257GP Benton, 99.7 KWPS-FM Caddo Valley/Hot Springs, Conservative Talk “Mountain Talk 97.1” KJMT Calico Rock, AC “K92.7” KRZP Gassville, 106.9 KYXK Gurdon, 1310 KZYP Malvern/104.1 K281CK Sheridan, 94.3 KCMC-FM Viola AR and Oldies 1260 WGVM and Country 100.7 WDMS Greenville MS. The company will also pay $500,000 for Classic Country 1360 KFFA and Classic Rock “The Mix” 103.1 KFFA-FM Helena AR from Spearman Land & Development.

All the stations with no formats listed above carry Broadcast Industry Group’s Classic Rock “Arkansas Rocks” network along with their owned 880 KLRG Sheridan/94.5 K233BF Greenbrier and 1190 KJJI White Hall/98.9 K255AX Pine Bluff. Broadcast Industry Group also owns R&B Oldies “The Cat” 1340 KCAT/92.7 KFFN Pine Bluff.

Some of these stations were involved in sales to Broadcast Industry Group in 2020 that never closed. Broadcast Industry Group has been operating all of the “Arkansas Rocks” stations via LMA. HPRN will retain their properties in Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
