Brian Moote & Otis To Host Mornings At 94.9 The Bull Atlanta

In a video and podcast with his brother posted this afternoon, former “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX Dallas morning co-host Brian Moote revealed he will be joining iHeartMedia Country “94.9 The Bull” WUBL Atlanta to join current afternoon host Jeremy ‘Otis’ Maher in mornings with an official announcement coming next week.

The video was recorded from iHeart’s Atlanta studios and featured an appearance from Maher. The duo have also been making posts on social media together. Moote states that an announcement is coming on Tuesday.

Moote spent the past two years co-hosting mornings at Cumulus Media’s KPLX until departing in March stating he was returning to Atlanta. Moote previously was part of the syndicated Bert Show at Cumulus’ “Q99.7” WWWQ Atlanta from 2016 to 2018 and has also co-hosted mornings at “97.1 Amp Radio” KAMP Los Angeles and “Click 98.9” KLCK Seattle.

Maher returned to WUBL as Music Director and afternoon host last November after previously holding that role from February 2017 to November 2020. He has also served as rogram Director at CHR 99.7 WDJX Louisville, APD/MD at “Kiss 95.1” WNKS Charlotte NC and on-air at WBNQ Bloomington IL, WNDV-FM South Bend, WNOW-FM Indianapolis and WZEE Madison.

The status of current morning host Kristen Gates has not been revealed. Gates had been part of the WUBL morning show with multiple partners since 2008; most recently Spencer Graves until his exit last November. She joined WUBL after previously working across town at Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX.
