Hall Communications’ “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK New Bedford MA/Providence RI has announced a new lineup to start the year.
Midday host ‘Brendan Sharp’ Lafferty has moved to mornings to join incumbent Courtney Kelley for the “Courtney & Brendan Morning Show”. Sharp joined WCTK in August 2020 filling the midday slot that had been vacated by Kelley following her move to mornings earlier that year. He previously worked at CHR “Fun 107” WFHN as ‘Bren St. James’ from 1993 to 2000 and has worked in digital marketing and as a local event DJ. Sharp fills the morning opening created by the exit of Brian Mulhern in October.
Zach Wilder will move up from weekends/fill-ins to take the midday slot. Wilder will be heard from 12-3pm and has previously worked at AC “Easy 99.1” WPLM-FM Plymouth MA.
Hall Communications is pleased to announce that Brendan Sharp will join Courtney Kelly as the co-host of the newly branded “Courtney & Brendan Morning Show” on Cat Country 98.1 (WCTK-FM Providence) as of today, January 3rd.
Sharp has hosted the Cat County midday show weekdays from noon to 3pm since August of 2020 and also spent 7 years as Production Director/Midday personality at WFHN/New Bedford.
“Brendan has filled in for every day-part at Cat Country over the last 2 years and brings extensive production, imaging, graphic arts and IT technical capabilities to the station,” said WCTK Program Director Kevin Lawrence.
“Brendan is extremely detail oriented and has developed a great rapport with lead morning show host Courtney Kelly while filling in over the past 2 months. Our Hall culture is about promoting from within, and I’m thrilled that we can promote a Freetown Massachusetts native who grew up listening to Providence radio to our morning show.” stated Lawrence.
In addition, WCTK part-time air personality Zach Wilder will take over the midday show hosting duties weekdays from noon to 3pm. Wilder has worked on-air at WPLM/ Plymouth and is a Cranston Rhode Island native.
