After signing off “Alt 92.3” WNYL New York last October, Joe ‘Brady’ Blum has now departed his additional roles at Audacy where he had continued to host afternoons at “Alt 98.7” WDZH Detroit and “107.7 The End” KNDD Seattle.
In an Instagram post, Brady wrote, “For the 2-3 people who might have wondered why I haven’t been on-air lately, I actually left Audacy a few weeks ago. It’s a long story but ultimately after months of going back and forth, we just couldn’t come to an agreement on a new contract after ALT 92.3 went off the air. It sucks but that’s radio.” He later adds, “As for the future, I’ve been telling myself that this exit from Audacy was for the best and that better things are on the way and it’s looking like that is definitely the case. I can’t say where just yet (waiting to sign some papers) but hopefully soon I’ll be able to let you know where you can hear me say dumb shit in-between songs again.”
Brady joined “Alt 92.3” as afternoon host in January 2021 from late nights at iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ. Prior to joining WHTZ in 2017, Brady hosted nights at CHR “Power 93.3” KPWX Seattle and worked for Alpha Media’s “Live 95.5” KBFF Portland and Artistic Media Partners’ “Z96.5” WAZY Lafayette IN. During his most recent stint with Audacy, he was also heard on their Alternative stations in Baltimore, Buffalo, and Richmond. He added WDZH right after joining the company and KNDD in January 2022.
With Brady’s exit, Ian Camfield has added the afternoon shift at WDZH, while Dallas Osborn adds those duties at KNDD.
