Brad Smith Rises To Cox Media Group CFO

Brad Smith Cox Media GroupCox Media Group announced the promotion of Brad Smith to Chief Financial Officer.

Smith has been serving as interim co-CFO for the past six months since the departure of Joseph ‘JP’ Hannan in January. He joined Cox as SVP of Finance and FP&A in 2020 after serving as co-founder and SVP/Revenue & Operations for Cox backed startup Videa focusing on automated television advertising. He has also held executive roles as SVP/Director of Operations for Cox Reps, CFO of Four Points Media Group, and VP/Finance for NBCUniversal. Cox emphasizes that Smith and his teams have successfully streamlined financial operations by focusing on the fundamentals of the business and automating where possible by increasing advertising and retransmission revenue and implementing focused cost management strategies that have allowed CMG to reinvest in the business.
