iHeartMedia has moved the Bobby Bones Show from nights to mornings at their Country stations in Atlanta and Cleveland.
Both “94.9 The Bull” WUBL Atlanta and 99.5 WGAR Cleveland both cut portions of their previous morning shows in March’s round of layoffs.
In Atlanta, Jeremy ‘Otis’ Maher, who remained following the departures of Brian Moote and Kimmie Carubua, moves to nights. Angie Ward continues from 10am to 3pm and Kristen Gates from 3-8pm. iHeartMedia SVPP and WUBL Program Director Meg Stevens stated, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to have ‘The Bobby Bones Show’ in mornings on 94.9 The Bull. Bobby is one of the most influential talents in the industry. His passion for Country music, adept interviewing skills and incredible social reach will elevate and profoundly impact our brand.”
At 99.5 WGAR Cleveland with the upgrade of Bones to mornings, Program Director Carletta Blake moves to middays as her APD/co-host Steve Wazz exited the station. Lee Ann Summers remains in afternoons, while WSIX Nashville’s Wayne D & Tay will air at night instead of middays.
Bones will soon gain a new affiliate as well as iHeart’s “WACO 100” WACO-FM Waco TX is running promos hyping the debut of the morning show on Monday, April 8 to replace departed PD/morning host Zack Owen.
