Bill Love To Retire From WRTH/WLTE

Longtime Greenville/Spartanburg market morning personality Bill Love has announced he will retire from radio Friday, September 29 ahead of on Salem Media Group Classic Hits “Earth-FM” 103.3 WRTH Greer/95.5 WLTE Powdersville SC sale to Educational Media Foundation.

Love has been with “Earth-FM” since its launch in January 2013. He began his career in 1973 at 800 WEAB Greer SC. Love was best known for his team with Howard Hudson where they were first teamed in mornings on 93.7 WFBC-FM Greenville from 1982 to 1984. After stints in Richmond and Jacksonville, the duo returned to the market in 1989 to host mornings on 102.5 WMYI where they would remain until 2004. The duo would reunite when “Earth-FM” debuted in January 2013 but Hudson would depart in October of that year. Love has been paired with Heidi Aiken since February of this year.

WRTH/WLTE has not yet officially announced its final day on-air before EMF starts its LMA ahead of the sale, but is promoting Friday, September 29 as an important day to listen.
