After fourteen years in mornings at Beasley Media CHR “B103.9” WXKB Cape Coral/Fort Myers FL, Jason ‘Big Mama’ Jones has exited the station.
Jones had been off the air since early June while running a political campaign for a local school board due to equal time laws. In a brief Facebook post yesterday, Jones wrote, “After 14 years of dedicated service I am no longer with Beasley Media Group. The story will be told soon.” In a separate post on his personal page he wrote, “The home of
Big Mama Radio is moving…” teasing a move elsewhere in the market.
Jones joined WXKB in 2008 after previous stints hosting mornings at “Wired 96.5” WRDW-FM Philadelphia, nights at stations including “B96” KTTB Minneapolis, “Wild 98.7” WLLD and 93.3 WFLZ Tampa, “Party 103.9” KPTY Phoenix and stations in Albuquerque, Memphis, Fresno, and Spokane.
“The Wild Bunch” co-hosts Jason ‘Budman’ Paige and Marija Puidak continue on in mornings at WXKB.
