‘Big Ant’ Simmons Adds KRMD-FM Programming Duties

Anthony Big Ant Simmons 99.7 KMJJ 101.1 KRMD-FM ShreveportCumulus Media has announced that Anthony ‘Big Ant’ Simmons will add the Program Director role at Country 101.1 KRMD-FM Shreveport LA to his current role as PD/afternoon host at Hip Hop 99.7 KMJJ.

Simmons has been with Cumulus Shreveport since December 2014. The Minnesota native began his career as an intern at 101.3 KDWB Minneapolis and worked on-air at 89.9 KMOJ and “B96” KTTB before an eleven year run at 103.1 WEUP Huntsville AL from 2003-14.

Simmons takes the PD duties at KRMD-FM that had been held by Jay Michaels until his move to Audacy’s Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX and Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH Houston as Assistant Brand Manager in May.

Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has promoted Anthony “Big Ant” Simmons to Program Director of Country Station 101.1 KRMD-FM in Shreveport, LA. Simmons will continue in his role as Program Director for Cumulus Shreveport’s #1 station, 99.7 KMJJ-FM, a position he has held for the last nine years.
