BIA Releases List Of Top Billers Of 2020

BIA Advisory Services has belatedly released its list of the top billing stations for 2020.

For the sixth consecutive year (and ten of the past eleven years), Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP Washington DC remains the top biller in the country. Thanks to its reliance on political advertising, WTOP took a smaller hit than most of the stations previously on the list dropping from $69.8 million in revenue in 2019 to $62 million in 2020.

iHeartMedia CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles remains in second place, but saw its revenue plummet from $59.9 million to $39.8 million.

iHeartMedia AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW New York moves up a spot dropping from $44 million to $30.8 million.

Cox Media Group News/Talk 750 WSB Atlanta/95.5 WSBB Doraville GA enters the top ten in fourth thanks to its political advertising in the 2020 election year. WSB billed an even $30 million in 2020.

Audacy News 780 WBBM Chicago/105.9 WCFS-FM Elmwood Park IL rises from ninth at $39.05 million to fifth with $29.7 million.

Beasley Media Sports “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM Boston rises from tenth to sixth dropping from $39.05 million to $29.6 million.

iHeartMedia Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG Los Angeles drops from a third place $45.15 million in 2019 to $29.35 million.

iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ Newark NJ/New York slides from fifth with $42 million to eighth with $29.3 million last year.

Audacy News 1010 WINS New York moves from seventh to ninth with a decline from $40.3 million to $28.1 million.

Audacy’s Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM New York rounds out the top ten after placing sixth in 2019 dropping from $41.4 million in revenue to $28 million.

Dropping out of the top ten list is Audacy News 880 WCBS New York after placing eighth in 2019 with $39.2 million.
