BBC Scotland’s Nick Sheridan has passed away at the age of 32 following a short illness.

“My thoughts are with his family, his many friends and indeed his colleagues. It will undoubtedly be a very sad time for them.”
Sheridan was from Wexford in Ireland and had worked in broadcasting for over 10 years. More recently, he left his staff job at the BBC to write children’s books but continued presenting as a freelancer on BBC Scotland’s radio and TV news programmes.
