Daytime presenter Mark Dennison has announced he’s leaving BBC Radio Nottingham.
He tweeted on Thursday afternoon to say new adventures await after 13 and a bit years at the beeb.
Before joining BBC Radio Nottingham, Mark worked at Trent FM for around 12 years after starting at Nottingham Hospitals Radio. He also covered at TFM.
He said: “Well, here goes… I’m leaving BBC Radio Nottingham in the summer.
“It’s been a great 13 and a bit years at the BBC (so over 26 years on the radio in the city) but new adventures await.
“Huge thank yous to producers past and present and to my amazing family (for) their support.”
Mark is also a voice-over and stadium announcer at Notts Forest – a role he added was separate to his job at the BBC.
His departure comes as presenters across the local BBC radio network are fighting for their jobs after being put at risk of redundancy ahead of networked programmes being introduced.
RadioToday has contacted the BBC for comment regarding the number of departures being announced, and details of the new station schedules which have been revealed to staff this week.
