Bauer Group Managing Director Dee Ford to leave the company

Bauer Media Audio UK’s Group Managing Director Dee Ford is leaving the company.

After 35 years with the group, Dee has decided to step back from her role later this year to spend more time with her husband and family.

Dee started in sales at Radio City in Liverpool in 1987 and worked her way up through Emap and Bauer, becoming Group MD in 1998.

She was presented with a CBE medal from the Prince of Wales in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in 2019 for services to Radio, having been named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Richard Dawkins, President of Audio, Bauer Media Group, comments: “The UK business is in great shape, with a healthy and growing radio portfolio, and solid digital foundations in place to enable us to deliver on the exciting opportunities ahead in digital audio over the coming years.

“I will miss Dee’s wise counsel, optimism and entrepreneurship, but am pleased to confirm that Dee will stay with us to ensure a smooth and extensive handover to her successor once they are appointed. And there will be plenty of opportunity to wish Dee well for the future later in the year.”

Bauer Media Audio will now commence recruitment for a successor.
