FCC Report 5/15: KFZO Proposes Move To Higher Tower To Counter Forced Downgrade

FCC Actions
After an informal objection to their license renewal applications for 106.1 KPYM Matagorda and 105.1 K286BW Midland TX for failing to timely file resumption of operations with the commission, Elohim Group Corporation has entered into a Consent Decree giving the stations one year license renewals. The FCC states that KPYM was silent for 248 days in its previous license term between its sign-on in July 2019 and August 1, 2021. The decree also resolves issues from the failure to maintain its online public file.

After going unclaimed in previous auctions, the FCC has removed the following allocations from the FM Table of Allotments:

100.9 C2 Millerton OK
106.5 C2 Powers OR
103.7 A Mount Enterprise TX
107.1 C3 Paint Rock TX
105.9 A Hardwick VT
99.7 C Meeteetse WY

A seventh allocation had been proposed to be removed for a Class C2 on 99.7 in Snowflake AZ, but Estrella Broadcasting filed a comment that it has full intentions to bid on it in a future FCC auction. Estrella won the allocation for 94.7 Overgaard AZ in the last auction and said if it was able to make a larger opening bid deposit it would have bid for Snowflake as well.
