Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC-FM Raleigh rebounds 9.3 to 9.8 to remain on top. Radio One Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK jumps up to second 7.1 to 8.1. Capitol Broadcasting AC “Mix 101.5” WRAL-FM dips 7.7 to 7.5. Curtis Media Classic Hits “Kix 102.9” WKIX-FM holds at a 6.2, while sister Country trends up 5.0 – 5.6 – 6.0.
Trending up in Raleigh is Curtis Media News/Talk 680 WPTF 1.9 to 3.6, while sister Variety Hits “96.1 BBB” WBBB falls 6.5 to 4.9.
Cumulus Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK leads Indianapolis down 9.5 to 9.4. Radio One Adult R&B 106.7 WTLC-FM surges up 6.0 to 8.2. Emmis News/Talk 93.1 WIBC drops 8.2 to 8.0, but AC “B105.7” WYXB jumps up 6.5 to 7.6. Public News/Talk 90.1 WFYI-FM slips 7.4 to 6.7.
After turning off its 50kW AM signal at the start of August, Emmis Sports “93.5/107.5 The Fan” drops a mere 4.5 to 4.4 as it remained on its two translators and 93.1 WIBC-HD2.
Trending up in Indianapolis is Emmis Country “97.1 Hank-FM” WLHK (3.6 – 4.0 – 4.4). Trending down are Cumulus AC “107.9 The Mix” WNTR (4.9 – 3.8 – 3.4) and Sarkes Tarzian AAA 92.3 WTTS (4.9 – 3.9 – 3.4)
Good Karma News/Talk 620 WTMJ remains on top of Milwaukee down 8.9 to 8.2. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 Big-FM” WRIT-FM rises 7.1 to 7.6, while sister Conservative Talk 1130 WISN trends up 6.5 – 6.8 – 7.2. Saga’s duo of Classic Rock “Hometown Rock 96.5” WKLH (6.9 to 7.1) and Rock “102.9 The Hog” WHQG (steady at 6.2) round out the top five.

Midwest Communications Variety Hits “96.3 Jack-FM” WCJK leads Nashville 8.4 to 8.5. The biggest story of the month is the surge of Cumulus News/Talk “Supertalk 99.7 WTN” WWTN as it rises 6.3 to 7.8 while afternoon host Phil Valentine was on his deathbed from COVID-19, dying a few days following the end of the monthly. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes that is a record high for WWTN. Cumulus Country “95.5 Nash Icon” WSM-FM ranks third down 7.4 to 7.0. Midwest AC “Mix 92.9” WJXA falls 8.1 to 6.7. Cumulus Adult R&B “Q92” WQQK slips 6.7 to 5.9.
Trending up in Nashville are Cumulus’ Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX (2.4 – 3.2 – 4.2) and “103.3 Country” WKDF (3.2 to 4.2). Trending down are iHeartMedia Country “The Big 98” WSIX (7.8 – 6.1 – 5.7) and Midwest CHR “Hot 106.7” WNFN (4.2 to 2.8).
iHeartMedia Rock 94.1 WHJY explodes up 7.2 to 11.7 to reclaim the Providence market lead. Hall’s “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK trends up 7.8 – 8.0 – 8.4. Cumulus CHR “92 PRO-FM” WPRO-FM rises 5.8 to 6.5. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “B101” WWBB slips 6.6 to 5.8. Cumulus AC “Lite 105.1” WWLI falls 6.3 to 5.8.
Audacy Adult R&B “95.7 R&B” WVKL holds a five share lead in Norfolk dropping 12.8 to 12.1. Sinclair Media Variety Hits “93.7 Bob-FM” WNOB is up 6.7 to 7.1. Audacy AC “101.3 2WD” WWDE rises 5.8 to 5.9. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “103 Jamz” WOWI rebounds 4.6 to 5.8. Saga Rock “FM 99” WNOR dips 5.4 to 4.1.
The Norfolk Country and CHR competitors are moving in opposite directions. Sinclair Country “US 106.1” WUSH rises 4.6 to 5.1, while Max Media’s “97.3 The Eagle” WGH-FM is down 6.1 to 5.0. Audacy CHR “Z104” WNVZ slips 3.7 to 3.3, while Max Media CHR “Hot 100.5” WVHT rises 1.9 to 2.5. Also trending downwards is Audacy Hot AC “94.9 The Point” WPTE (4.0 – 3.5 – 2.8).
Renda AC 96.1 WEJZ rises 8.5 to 9.9 to move into a first place tie in Jacksonville with Cox Classic Rock “96.9 The Eagle” WJGL (11.1 – 10.7 – 9.9). Cox News/Talk 104.5 WOKV-FM dips 8.1 to 7.9. iHeartMedia Country 99.1 WQIK surges up 5.5 – 6.4 – 7.2 to tie co-owned Adult R&B “V101.5” WSOL (7.6 – 7.2).

Hubbard Classic Hits “Sunny 107.9” WEAT rises 5.2 to 5.6, while sister Adult R&B “X102.3” WMBX is up 4.2 to 4.6. Public News/Talk 91.3 WLRN Miami ranks fifth down 4.2 to 4.1.
