Audacy Resurrects Classic Live 105

Audacy has announced it has relaunched 105.3 KITS-HD2 San Francisco as “Classic Live 105“.

The new Classic Alternative brand will focus on music from the 80s through 2000s with core artists listed as including Depeche Mode, The Cure, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, No Doubt, The Killers, and Weezer. The subchannel featured the “Classic Live 105” brand until 2015 and most recently was airing the “New Arrivals Channel” featured on HD subchannels of many of Audacy’s Alternative stations.

KITS itself flipped from Alternative “Alt 105.3” to Variety Hits “105.3 Dave-FMin October 2021.

Audacy today announced the immediate launch of Classic Live 105 (105.3 KITS-FM HD2). The station, which had served as the home for alternative music in the Bay Area for 35 years, will return to feature station hits from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, including classics from Depeche Mode, The Cure, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, No Doubt, The Killers, Weezer and more. Classic Live 105 will be available nationwide on the Audacy app and website.
