Audacy Promotes Dan Hardee To Regional Brand Manager Adding 98.9 The Buzz Rochester

Hardee will continue to program and host afternoons on KQMT as well as hosting afternoons on 96.5 WCMF Rochester. He rose to Brand Manager of KQMT in January after being with the station since 2016. He has previously worked in the Denver market as Production Director for Wilks Broadcasting from 2011 to 2013 where he also hosted nights on Country “92.5 The Wolf” KWOF and on-air at Country 98.5 KYGO and AC 101.1 KOSI in 2013 and again in 2015-16. Before coming to Denver he hosted afternoons at AC “92.9 Peak-FM” KKPK Colorado Springs and served as APD of News/Talk 740 KVOR and cluster Promotions Director. Hardee also has worked on both Local Radio Networks and Westwood One’s 24/7 programming.

Hardee takes the reins at WBZA that had been held by former cluster VP/Programming Bob Barnett until his move to Townsquare Media Buffalo last December.

Hardee is a Colorado native who joined Audacy’s 99.5 The Mountain in 2016 as an afternoon drive host. His role expanded to include Rochester sister station 96.5 WCMF in April 2021, and was named Brand Manager of 99.5 The Mountain in January 2022. Hardee started his career as a production director at KIMN-FM and KXKL-FM in Denver and KWOF-FM in Waukomis, OK, before moving on to Westwood One and then returning to Denver as an on-air host for KYGO-FM and KOSI-FM.
