Audacy Cleveland VP/Programming Dave Popovich has announced he will retire in early 2023.
Popovich, who also serves as PD of AC “Star 102.1” WDOK and Hot AC “Q104” WQAL, has been the the cluster since 2005. In a memo shared with staffers yesterday, Popovich wrote, “I am excited to write the next chapters of my life. I am healthy, happy and grateful for the teams I have worked with for 50+ years. I’ve had the time of my life laughing and learning everyday. I will miss you but I will be listening from my cabana on the beach.” His final day is planned to be in the early spring.
Prior to joining the then CBS Radio Cleveland cluster, Popovich has also held programming positions at 850 WRMR, 1100 WWWE, 105.7 WMJI, and 106.5 WLTF/WMVX in the Cleveland market, 100.3 KIMN Denver, and 1140 KKCI Kansas City. He also spent time as a consultant with McVay Media.
