Audacy has announced the immediate resignation of Rich Schmaeling from his role as Chief Financial Officer.
Schmaeling joined the company in April 2017 during Entercom’s merger with CBS Radio. He previously held the same role at television group owner LIN Media and Travel Leaders Group and was VP/Finance for Dow Jones. The company announcement says he is leaving to pursue other business opportunities but will remain available to ensure an orderly transition of his responsibilities.
Audacy does not intend to name a new CFO in the near term. Interim CEO/President Kelli Turner said, “On behalf of the entire team, I would like to thank Rich for his contributions to Audacy. We are well positioned with the finance team in place.”
