Ashley Morrison Joins US103.5 Tampa As Program Director

Ashley Morrison K92.3 K92 US103.5 US 103.5 WFUS TampaCox Media Country “K92.3” WWKA Orlando APD/MD/morning co-host Ashley Morrison is joining iHeartMedia’s “US 103.5” WFUS Tampa as Program Director.

A Tampa area native, Morrison has previously been heard in the market as a weekend host on CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI and tracked afternoons on AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM in 2014 and 15. She began her career at Cox Jacksonville in 2010 as a promotions assistant and morning show producer at CHR 95.1 WAPE. She spent a year at WPOI until moving to Orlando in 2012 and rising to morning co-host in September 2013 and later adding the MD and APD roles.

At WFUS, Morrison succeeds Cindy Spicer, who resigned in September.

iHeartMedia announced today that Ashley Morrison has been named Program Director for US103.5, Tampa Bay’s #1 For New Country, effective November 16. iHeartMedia Tampa Bay has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than nine stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director, Ashley will work closely with all departments to oversee US103.5’s on-air content, digital footprint and music programming. She will report to Tommy Chuck, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Tampa Bay.

Ashley joins the iHeartMedia Tampa Bay team from Cox Media Group in Orlando, FL where she most recently served as Assistant Program Director and morning show co-host for WWKA-FM. She was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and is a graduate of Seminole High School and the University of North Florida.
