Angel ‘Visa’ Jarquin Rises To iHeartMedia Pacific Area SVP/Programming

iHeartMedia has announced the promotion of Angel ‘Visa’ Jarquin to Senior Vice President of Programming for their Pacific Area including stations in Bakersfield, Fresno, Modesto, Monterey, Stockton, and Riverside CA and Spokane WA.

Jarquin will also continue to serve as Program Director for the company’s Fresno duo of Rhythmic CHR “B95” KBOS and Rhythmic AC “103.7 The Beat” KFBT, and Alternative “Alt 106.1” KRAB Bakersfield. He began his career in 2004 as an intern at “Wild 94.9” KYLD San Francisco before joining 102.5 KDON Salinas/Monterey as Promotions Director and night host. He left in 2011 to join “99.7 Now” KMVQ San Francisco as a weekend/fill-in host before returning to KDON as APD/MD/afternoon host in 2013. He then took on the Program Director role at KBOS in November 2019.

iHeartMedia announced today that Angel “Visa” Jarquin has been named Senior Vice President of Programming of the Pacific Area, effective immediately. The iHeartMedia Pacific Area — operating stations in Fresno, Riverside, Monterey, Modesto, Stockton, Bakersfield and Spokane — has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than 29 stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. In his new role as Senior VP of Programming, Jarquin will be responsible for the oversight of programming and promotions across all Pacific Area iHeartMedia stations. He will report to Steve Darnell, President for the iHeartMedia Pacific Area.

A longtime media veteran, Jarquin has been with iHeartMedia for more than 19 years, including on-air on B95 Fresno’s Hip Hop and Hits (KBOS) and 102.5 The Central Coast’s #1 Hit Music Station (KDON). He most recently, and will continue to serve as, the Program Director for B95 Fresno’s Hip Hop and Hits (KBOS), 103.7 The Beat, Fresno’s #1 for Throwbacks (KFBT) and 106.1 Bakersfield’s Alternative (KRAB).
