Univision flipped Spanish Rhythmic “95.1 Latino Mix” Comfort/San Antonio TX to Spanish AC “Amor 95.1” this afternoon.
The flip brings KMYO into the chain of “Amor” branded stations that Univision operates in Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Miami, San Diego Phoenix, and Austin. It marks the end of the second iteration of the “Latino Mix” brand on the station. KMYO flipped from Classic Hip Hop “Yo 95.1” to Spanish Rhythmic in April 2017 just minutes before iHeartMedia launched “104.5 Latino Hits” KZEP.
KMYO currently ranks 21st in the San Antonio market with a 1.3 share in the August 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings.
The new format debuted at 5pm today after an hour of stunting with songs about Mexico. The first few songs included Selena “Fotos Y Recuerdos”, Franco De Vita “Te Amo”, Mana “Oye Mi Amor”, Enrique Iglesias “Experiencia Religiosa”, and Juanes “Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor”.
