iHeartMedia’s “Country 92.5” WWYZ Waterbury/Hartford CT has announced it is revamping its morning show as Amanda Jo Parker will join Damon Scott starting August 15.
Parker will take the spot that had been held by Cory Myers since 1994, while also adding APD/MD duties at WWYZ. She has been with iHeartMedia since 2014 in a regional role that currently includes serving as APD/MD/midday host at “101.7 The Bull” WBWL Lynn/Boston, afternoon host at “Kix 100.9” WRNX Amherst/Springfield MA, and midday host at WWYZ. She will continue in all her roles at WBWL and WRNX. Prior to joining iHeartMedia, Parker spent seven years as Promotions Director and afternoon host for Saga’s “Bear Country 95.3” WPVQ Greenfield MA.
iHeartMedia Hartford’s Country 92-5 announced today that Amanda Jo will join the “Country 92-5 Morning Show,” effective August 15. The “Country 92-5 Morning Show” broadcasts weekdays from 5 a.m. – 10 a.m.
“Country 92-5 Morning Show,” the popular heritage morning show, features host Damon Scott. Amanda Jo will transition from middays on the station to join Damon in the morning, and the two will continue to broadcast top hits from the biggest country stars as well as discuss the latest entertainment headlines. In addition, she has been named Music Director and Assistant Program Director for Country 92-5, where she will create exciting events and content with the biggest stars in country music. Amanda Jo will report to Joey Brooks, Senior Vice President of Programming at iHeartMedia Connecticut.

Amanda Jo has been a radio personality since 2007, heard across New England on 100.9 The Bull (WBWL-FM) in Boston, MA; KIX 100.9 (WRNX-FM) and Country 92-5 (WWYZ-FM) in Hartford, CT. She is a Western Massachusetts native and graduated from Westfield State College in 2007. Amanda Jo will continue to be heard on 101.7 The Bull (WBWL-FM) from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. as well as on KIX 100.9 (WRNX-FM) from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Alongside her on-air roles, she will continue her position as Music Director and Assistant Program Director on 101.7 The Bull in Boston, MA.
