All-Ireland champions Limerick on the road again

Limerick have conceded home advantage for a third consecutive Allianz Hurling League tie.

The All-Ireland champions have been effectively forced to hand Galway home advantage for next weekend’s Round 5 tie.

And the game has moved to Saturday (1.15pm) as part of an eagerly-anticipated Salthill double-header with the Dublin/Galway Division 1 football tie (3.15pm)

Limerick were due to face Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds this evening, but the tie was moved to Pairc Ui Chamoimh.

Their Round 1 encounter with Dublin was played at Semple Stadium.

Upgrade works were carried out at the Ennis Road venue last December.

But heavy rainfall and cold temperatures in recent weeks have left the County Board reluctant to open the grounds yet.

Meanwhile, the Sligo/Offaly Division 3 football tie has been switched to next Saturday at 2.30pm in Markievicz Park.

And next Saturday’s Tipperary/Wexford Division 4 football tie has been moved to Moyne Templetuohy (6pm).

The Dublin Westmeath Division 1b hurling game has been rescheduled for 3pm next Saturday at Parnell Park.

Meanwhile, the Tyrone/Monaghan hurling league game, scheduled for tomorrow week, has been moved to Dungannon.

Next Saturday’s full round of Allianz Hurling League Division 3a games have been moved to 1pm.

They are Armagh v Louth at the Athletic Grounds, Cavan v Monaghan at Breffni Park and Sligo v Mayo, which has been moved out of Markievicz Park to Kent Park
