Alice To Give Way To Conservative Talk In Oklahoma City As Long-Running LMA Comes To End

After being leased to Cumulus Media and predecessor Citadel for the past nineteen years, Champlin Broadcasting will resume programming 96.9 KQOB Enid/Oklahoma City on January 1, 2022.

That will mean the end of Variety Hits “Alice 96.9” as Champlin will flip KQOB to a simulcast of Conservative Talk “1640 The Eagle” KZLS Enid. Champlin also owns Classic Country “99.7 Hank-FM” KNAH Mustang in the Oklahoma City market.

KQOB held a 2.1 share in the October 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings. 1640 KZLS held a 0.2 share. The 100kW 96.9 signal will help the station better compete against iHeartMedia’s 1000 KTOK and Tyler Media’s 1520 KOKC/95.3 K237GE.
