Ahead of its license donation to MMTC Broadcasting and subsequent sale to Jeff Chang, the estate of William O’Shaughnessy’s Hudson-Westchester Radio ceased operations on Brokered Talk 1460 WVOX/98.3 W252DX White Plains NY on Thursday evening.
WVOX featured mostly brokered talk shows along with some specialty music programs and Adult Standards filling late night and weekend slots.
The deal to Chang includes the station’s license and equipment but no leases other than the translator’s tower lease. Chang will be required to find a new transmitter and studio leases for WVOX. Hudson-Westchester Radio also just closed on its sale of Caribbean 93.5 WVIP to Hope Media Group, which flipped the station last week to Spanish Christian “Vida Unida” WNVU.
