Adams Radio Group has completed the divestment of its Salisbury/Ocean City cluster with sale of CHR “OC 104” 103.9 WOCQ Berlin and Oldies “Kool Oldies 104.3/105.1” W282AW Salisbury/W286BB Ocean Pines MD to Draper Media for $550,000.
Draper previously purchased Rock “93.5 The Beach” WZBH Millsboro DE and Classic Rock “Big 107.7” WGBG-FM Fruitland MD from Adams for $2.2 million. In the filing for WOCQ and the translators, Draper notes a change in the market caps have been triggered because Nielsen inadvertently counted some of Draper’s other stations in the Delmarva as counting towards the Salisbury/Ocean City market cap. BIA has correspondingly adjusted their market definition which in theory would now let WOCQ join WZBH, WGBG-FM, and AC 102.5 WBOC-FM in their cluster along with the four stations in Cambridge/Easton MD and the local CBS, FOX, NBC and Telemundo affiliates in the market.
