William Wachter’s Chisholm Trail Communications have sold Classic Hits “K-Hits 95.5” KOME-FM Tolar and 106.5 KITT Meridian TX to LKCM Radio Group for $200,000.
LKCM owned KOME-FM from its sign-on in 2009 until 2014. The deal will reunite the station with its Classic Country “92.1 Hank-FM” KTWF-FM Glen Rose, which has overlapping contours serving the area southwest of Fort Worth around Stevenville TX. The Gerry Schlegel led company also owns Texas Country “95.9 The Ranch” KFWR-FM Jacksboro/Fort Worth, “106.9 The Ranch” KRVF Kerens/Corsicana, and “95.5 Hank-FM” KTWF Scotland/Wichita Falls.
The sale of KOME-FM/KITT follows Chisolm Trail taking 1400 KEBE/104.7 K284CT Jacksonville and 1580 KTLU/103.9 K280CL Rusk silent last week ahead of expected sales there.
