Cumulus Media Country “Kix 106” 105.9 WGKX Memphis has tabbed Andrew ‘Latty’ Latimer as its new morning host.
Latimer has spent his entire career in his hometown of Memphis where he previously has worked at iHeartMedia CHR “101.9 Kiss-FM” KWNW and Flinn Broadcasting’s duo of Alternative “I96” WIVG and CHR “Q107.5” WHBQ-FM. He fills the slot that had been held by Duane and Abby Shannon until their exit earlier this year.
Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has appointed Andrew “Latty” Latimer as On-Air Host, Mornings, for Memphis Country radio station KIX 106/WGKX-FM. Latimer, a native Memphian, graduated from Germantown High School and attended The University of Memphis before launching his radio career. He was previously Morning Host for Memphis Classic Hits station Q107.5/WHBQ-FM and was also an on-air personality for Memphis radio stations I96/WIVG-FM (Rock) and 101.9 Kiss FM/KWNW-FM (Top 40). Latimer will debut on KIX 106 on Monday, May 31st, and can be heard weekday mornings from 6:00am-10:00am.
