Extra Mile Media has announced the addition of Scott Michaels as its new President/General Manager starting June 1.
Michaels will succeed twenty-year company vet Randy Davison, who will move to a new role as
Executive Director of Friends of Hope, the non-profit that owns and supports Extra Mile Media. He joins the company from i58:10 Media, where he served as Director of Radio Station Fundraising and assisted with the launch of the Worship 24/7 Radio Network. He has also held roles as Station Manager/Regional Program Director for Northwestern Media’s KDNI/KDNW-FM Duluth MN from 2009 to 2017 and PD of Crista Media’s “Praise 106.5” KWPZ Lynden WA/Vancouver BC.

Extra Mile Media, the parent ministry of Christian media outlets Hope 107.9 FM and KWIL AM 790 are pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran Scott Michaels as the new President and General Manager of the organization. Mr. Michaels has over twenty-years experience in media including fundraising, content creation and ministry management. He most recently worked with i58:10 Media as Director of Radio Station Fundraising and assisted with the launch of the Worship 24/7 Radio Network. Mr. Michaels will officially start his duties on June 1.
“Having an opportunity to serve in a ministry like Hope 107.9 and KWIL-AM is an honor,” said Mr. Michaels. “They have a legacy of serving their community with passion for Jesus, and doing it well. Plus, Oregon is home for me, so this is truly a dream job!”
Current Extra Mile Media President and General Manager Randy Davison, who has been with the ministry for twenty-years, will remain on the team as Executive Director of Friends of Hope, the non-profit that owns and supports Extra Mile Media. Mr. Davison commented, “We are thrilled to have someone with the experience, knowledge, and passion that Scott brings. We look forward to a bright future as we continue to celebrate our sixty-four year legacy.”
Both Mr. Davison and Mr. Michaels will work side-by-side to accomplish the ministry vision of “bringing hope to life” to listeners in Eugene and the Willamette Valley through media and future initiatives. Each will be reporting to their organization’s respective Board of Directors.
