FCC Seal 2020 Federal Communications CommissionAfter closing on its $25,000 purchase at the beginning of January, Paul Izard Communications has surrendered the license of 105.9 WGWE Little Valley NY. WGWE has been operating as Dance “Energy Radio Buffalo” assuming the programming from his webcaster, which also appears defunct.

Gerald Hunt surrenders the license of 105.5 WXOQ Selmer TN. A Silent STA request in February states that the roof of the transmitter building was missing and transmission equipment then removed to prevent further damage.

The Estate of Robert Cummings Toole has turned in the license of “1400 The Buck” KBCK Deer Lodge MT. The station had been off the air since sustaining damage from a storm in August 2021.

The license of Stop the Violence / Save the Children, Inc’s 88.3 KPCP New Roads LA after an FCC inquiry as to why it had been silent since February 2020 was never responded to.

The license of Call Communications’ 89.3 WAZQ Duck Key FL was cancelled after being silent for over a year.

The FCC has entered consent decrees with the following licensees over their failure to maintain their online political files:

  • KWRL, LLC licensee of KWRl La Grande OR
  • Mutual Broadcasting System, LLC licensee of KTRW Opportunity WA
  • Multicultural Radio Broadcasting Licensee, LLC licensee of KSJX San Jose CA
  • Premier Broadcasters, Inc. licensee of KITI Centralia-Chehalis and KITI-FM Winlock WA
  • Taxi License Corporation licensee of KJLH Compton CA
  • WBIN Media Co., Inc. licensee of WJYY Concord NH

The FCC has also reached a consent decree with Evans Broadcasting, Inc.’s KIFX Naples UT for failing to maintain its online public file.
