FCC Seal 2020 Federal Communications Commission

Vandalia Media Partners 2 has surrendered the license of 990 WJEH Gallipolis OH.

The FCC has held an initial status conference on April 28 for WJEH’s license renewal hearing brought on by WJEH being silent or operating via STA for all but 28 days since Vandalia took control of the station in December 2019. A sale of WJEH to Zack Media South for $4,000 had been pending.

Carlos Arana Ministries’ 91.1 KQGC Belen NM was deleted after the licensee did not respond to an inquiry to its operational status. A complaint filed in January 2020 by Cedar Cove Broadcasting owner Vic Michael indicated that he had never heard the station operating on his frequent drives through the area over the course of 2019. Michael also stated that the station’s antenna was not on its licensed facility in a photo taken in May 2018, his inquiry to American Tower stated the station’s lease was terminated in April 2016, and that Arana had died several years ago.

Lewis Broadcasting has surrendered the license for Jazz 1540 WJZI Decatur IN and its CP for 106.1 W291DF Decatur. WJZI had been operating under temporary facilities since its tower was destroyed in a wind storm in April 2015.
