As first indicated in our 2/21 Domain Insight, Alpha Media flipped Regional Mexican “La Ley 95.7” KLEY-FM Jourdanton/San Antonio and 103.1 KHHL Karnes City TX to Tejano as “Tejano 95.7” at 11am today.
The flip to Tejano brings the format back to a full-powered FM signal (albeit rimshot) for the first time since 107.5 KXTN-FM flipped to Rhythmic AC “107.5 The Vibe” KVBH in 2019. The new format competes with Univision’s 1350 KXTN and Claro Communications’ “Radio Jalapeno” 1540 KEDA and network of translators. KLEY-FM registered a 0.4 share in the Holiday 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings. KXTN had a 0.5, while KEDA does not subscribe to Nielsen.
