Longtime Louisville market personality Bobby Jack Murphy will retire from his dual role as morning host at W&B Broadcasting Classic Hits 620 WAKY/100.1 W261CO/106.3 W292FS Louisville and 103.5 WAKY-FM Radcliff KY and PD/midday host at “Cat Country 105.5” WLVK Fort Knox/Elizabethtown KY on Friday, February 18.
Murphy is best known in the market for his 27 year run at Country 97.5 WAMZ Louisville from 1982 to 2009 including seventeen years in mornings. After brief stints in sales at Mainline Broadcasting and hosting a show at Christian 94.7 WFIA-FM, he joined WLVK as PD/morning host in 2011 and then added duties at WAKY in 2016.
