WNNX Moves Southside & Axel To Afternoons

Cumulus Media’s “Rock 100.5” WNNX College Park/Atlanta is moving morning hosts ‘Southside Steve’ Rickman and Axel Lowe to afternoons from 3-7pm starting Monday, February 7.

The duo have been hosting mornings at WNNX since the exit of Jason Bailey last October. Rickman had been part of the morning show at WNNX since the launch of “Rock 100.5” in 2008 after working on-air at “96 Rock” WKLS from 1995 until its demise in 2006. Lowe, who serves as Program Director at WNNX, had been hosting afternoons until moving to mornings alongside Rickman. Lowe has also been part of WNNX since its debut in 2008 after previously working at predecessor Alternative “99X” starting in 1992. From 2014-2019, he programmed “96 Rock” WFTK Cincinnati.

Rickman and Lowe will be joined by producer Bryan ‘Mo Lightning’ Mozina, who joined the station as morning show producer last October. Mozina previously served as PD/morning host at 97.7 WQLZ Springfield IL and hosts a podcast/live video stream with former WWE wrestler Devon ‘D-Von Dudley’ Hughes.

A new morning show is set to launch on WNNX last this month.
