After departing as APD/afternoon host at Cumulus’ “New Country 93.1” WDRQ Detroit last month, Bill ‘Broadway’ Bertschinger has joined MacDonald Garber Broadcasting as Program Director of CHR “106 KHQ” 105.9 WKHQ Charlevoix and Classic Country “Star Country 106.7” WSRT Gaylord MI serving the Traverse City market.
Broadway will also host mornings at WKHQ where he fills the PD/morning show opening created by Robby Bridges’ move to WWZY Long Branch NJ last fall. He will be joined in mornings by Kristin ‘KP’ Penrose. Penrose joins WKHQ from Cumulus Detroit as well where she was a promotions assistant.
Prior to joining WDRQ, Bertschinger hosted mornings at “Y108” WDSY Pittsburgh, “Country 92.5” WWYZ Hartford, and “99.9 Kiss Country” WKIS-FM Miami, nights and mornings at CHR 104.5 WSNX Grand Rapids, and nights at “B93” WBCT Grand Rapids and “Z107.7” KSLZ St. Louis.
