Dan Hardee Rises To KQMT Brand Manager

Audacy Classic Rock “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT Denver has promoted afternoon host Dan Hardee to Brand Manager.

Hardee has been with KQMT since June 2016. He has previously worked in the Denver market as Production Director for Wilks Broadcasting from 2011 to 2013 where he also hosted nights on Country “92.5 The Wolf” KWOF and on-air at Country 98.5 KYGO and AC 101.1 KOSI in 2013 and again in 2015-16. Before coming to Denver he hosted afternoons at AC “92.9 Peak-FM” KKPK Colorado Springs and served as APD of News/Talk 740 KVOR and cluster Promotions Director. Hardee also has worked on both Local Radio Networks and Westwood One’s 24/7 programming.

The KQMT programming position had been vacant since Sam Hill’s exit in August 2019.

Hardee will also continue to track afternoons at Classic Rock 96.5 WCMF Rochester NY.

Audacy announced the promotion of Dan Hardee to Brand Manager of 99.5 The Mountain (KQMT-FM) in Denver, effective immediately. In this role, Hardee will oversee content strategy, talent, operations and branding for the station. He will continue to serve as the station’s afternoon show host, as well as afternoon show host for Rochester sister station 96.5 WCMF (WCMF-FM).

A Colorado native, Dan Hardee joined 99.5 The Mountain in 2016 as afternoon show host. He expanded his role to also host afternoons for Rochester sister station 96.5 WCMF (WCMF-FM) in April 2021. Hardee spent a year at Bonneville International in Denver as an on-air host for KYGO and KOSI (2015-2016) as well as for Westwood One from 2014-2015. Prior to that, he served as a production director for Wilks Broadcasting’s KIMN, KWOF, and KXKL, while also spending time with Citadel Broadcasting’s KKPK in Colorado Springs and Clear Channel in Pueblo, CO.
