The Dana Cortez Show is returning to mornings at Univision Hip Hop “98.5 The Beat” KBBT Schertz/San Antonio TX.
Cortez previously hosted mornings at KBBT from October 2015 until August 2018 when the show entered syndication via ABC Radio and Skyview Networks and moved to afternoons at Alpha Media CHR “Energy 94.1” KTFM in San Antonio. It later aired in mornings on Alpha’s “We 103.3” K277CX/KTFM-HD2 before being dropped last year. She previously had a long run in mornings at “Kiss 97.3” KKSS Albuquerque. The Dana Cortez Show also features her husband DJ Automatic and comedian Anthony Almanzar.
KBBT Music Director, Jaime ‘Hammburger’ Valenzuela, who moved to mornings in September 2021, will now move back to his former afternoon slot. Valenzuela had replaced the “Rico and Carmen” show hosted by Raul ‘Rico’ Colindres and his “Carmen” alter-ego after just nine months in the morning slot.
