Family Life Sets New Weekday Lineup

The Christian Family Life network serving Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania has announced a new on-air lineup debuting on Monday, January 24.

Tim Powers moves from Production Assistant and weekend tracker to join incumbent morning co-hosts Steve Smith and Terese Main for the newly rebranded “Rise Up with Steve, Terese, and Tim”. Randy Snavely will move off of mornings and be paired with Melanie Coe in middays for a local show replacing KCBI-FM Dallas Program Director Kelly Corday. Coe moves from the organization’s Performing Arts Department.

With Sonny Delfyette exiting late last year for KCBI-FM, evening host Gary Thompson will serve as interim afternoon host while weekend host Michelle Renew will fill evenings.

Contemporary Christian network Family Life (NY/PA) is rolling out some big line-up changes beginning Monday 1/24. Tim Powers who has served the ministry as a Production Assistant and weekend tracker joins current morning hosts Steve Smith and Terese Main for a newly rebranded morning show, “Rise Up with Steve, Terese, and Tim”. Previous morning co-host, Randy Snavely segues to mid-days for a new, live midday show, “Mid-days with Randy & Mel”. He will be paired with Melanie Coe who was worked for the past few years in the ministry’s Performing Arts Department. Current evening host Gary Thompson moves to afternoons (3pm-7pm) as an interim host while the ministry searches for a permanent replacement for Sonny Delfyette who departed for Dallas last month. Taking over Gary’s evening shift (9pm-midnight) is Michelle Renew who previously served the ministry for years as a weekend tracker.

Director of Radio Dave Margalotti says about the changes, “Tim and Mel are great additions to our on-air team. They are both funny, authentic, and creative, and are committed to using their skills to glorify the Lord. Gary is warm and engaging, and our listeners have really come to appreciate his humor and on-air style. Michelle has always been a part of the family here even though it’s been a few years since she was last on air with us. We’re excited to have her back. God has been doing some amazing things through the ministry. We look forward to seeing how He uses these changes as we seek to make greater and more meaningful connections with listeners that will help them grow in their faith and draw closer to Jesus”.
